Testing with Python

This directory contains test scripts written in Python and uses SOAPpy to communicate via SOAP messages with the web services. Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language. It is often compared to Tcl, Perl, Scheme or Java. SOAPpy is a SOAP implementation written in Python. In order to use these test scripts you need Python, fpconst, PyXML and SOAPpy to be installed. For testing Python version 2.3.3, fpconst version 0.71, PyXML version 0.8.4 and SOAPpy version 0.11.6 were used.
The main test script is 'QWWebServices.py' which contains the methods to call the web services methods. The 'speedTesty.py' script is for doing a brute force speed test with no delays between each web service call. The 'pefTest.py' provides a more realistic performance test.  The other scripts are convenience scripts to call particular web services methods.
These scripts were used for initial testing and are provided as is and will not necessarily be maintained.
