ISTI supports the Great Southern California Shakeout
Two of ISTI's software products were integral to the success of the Great Southern California Shakeout.
ISTI's QuakeWatch and ATC-20i tools were used in the Great Southern California Shakeout. QuakeWatch/CISNDisplay
was used to broadcast the initial earthquake and aftershocks (more than 17,000 aftershocks) in real time to emergency responders, utilities and media outlets. ATC-20i was used to survey damaged buildings for the purposes of tagging them as "Inspected", "Restricted" or "Unsafe". ISTI's Sid Hellman was honored to be able to attend and assist in this successful event.
