EW2MSEED
ISTI's EW2MSEED importing EarthWorm data into the IRIS DMS
The ew2mseed utility provides the IRIS Data Management System (DMS) with a solution to data archiving from the Earthworm System. This development by ISTI provides the capability to seemlessly integrate realtime Earthworm data into the IRIS DMS BUD system for end-user retrieval. ew2mseed remotely connects with Earthworm WaveServer disk buffers and is the only utility available for continuous MiniSEED archiving (much like datalog in the COMSERV system). This work was funded by the IRIS DMS.See the December 2001 IRIS DMS newsletter article on the ew2mseed tool. This is an ongoing development.
The ew2mseed development is an open source development and is
available upon request from
ISTI. Please refer to the Earthworm pages for more
information about the Earthworm system. For a complete description of
ew2mseed, please refer to our online overview and the
command
descriptions.
The current version of ew2mseed is from March 2005, please contact
ISTI to obtain a copy.
The latest version of ew2mseed also includes a tool for
remote analysis of EarthWorm WaveTank: wsSniffer.
Check wsSniffer
overview for more detail.
ew2mseed is provided ready to use for Solaris systems only and with complete source code. ISTI is available to make custom modifications to ew2mseed for your data needs. Please contact us for assistance.
