Inventory and DIGIT
Station Inventory Control and Response Management System from the USGS
INV is a mysql based system for Seismic Station Inventory and Meta Data management. The core database can track any hardware over time at any number of seismic stations. It can also track system programming parameters (data acquisition information) over time, and that information can be used to automatically generate Dataless SEED volumes.
There are a number of programs that interact this this database. The main 2 are DIGIT and Inventory. Built into DIGIT are the InvSetup and InvToSEED program.
InvSetup will assist you in installing and building your first database, as well as helping you create users for the system.
InvToSEED will build dataless SEED volumes for you.
For the new user, we recommend using DIGIT to get started and for building your first database.
Here you can find the files and documentation for INV and DIGIT.
DIGIT - User Friendly Wizard based front end
Inventory - Full Functionality expert user front end.
Dataless SEED Import Tool - Jar for importing a Dataless file into INV (AKA ImportDataless).
