K2 into PDB
K2MSEED for the PASSCAL DataBase System (PDB)
The K2MSEED software integration provides the user of Kinemetrics Inc. K2 dataloggers with a complete solution to data archiving on the Linux and UNIX operating systems. The PASSCAL DataBase system, originally developed by IRIS/PASSCAL for RefTek dataloggers, is designed to provide in-field quality control and data archiving of seismic data in standard formats (SEED, AH, SAC, and SEGY). This recent development by ISTI provides the capability to seemlessly integrate K2 data into the same database system. This work was funded by the U.S. Geological Survey and was a cooperative effort between ISTI and Kinemetrics Inc.The K2MSEED development is an open source development and is fully integrated into the PDB software suite. The PDB release which contains this new development is version 1.9.21 and is available from the PASSCAL Instrument Center's ftp site at New Mexico Tech: ftp://ftp.passcal.nmt.edu/passcal
Alternatively, the k2mseed software can be downloaded from the ISTI ftp site: http://ftp.isti.com/pub/k2 as a tar.gz of source code.
