Q3302EW
Q3302ew is a module that reads data from a Q330 data port, and feeds
it into an Earthworm ring. Q3302ew is based on Mountainair, a program
that acquires data from a Quanterra Q330 datalogger and outputs
waveform data in a format that can be processed by comserv client
programs. The Mountainair software binary is named qmaserv2 (Quanterra
Mountain Air server) in order to suggest its similarity to comserv,
another Quanterra program. Both names ("Mountainair" and "qmaserv2")
refer to the same software program. This version of Q3302ew uses the cLib330 and not the original communications software from an earlier buggy version of Mountainair (not written by ISTI). cLib330 comes from certsoft.com and is available in source code form.
Q3302ew uses the Q330 communications code from Mountainair, but does not require nor contain a Comserv installation or Comserv code.
As well as collecting data, q3302ew also monitors the state of health of the Q330, and generates errors when certain values (currently input voltage, mass positions, and clock quality) are not within pre-defined acceptable ranges.
Note that q3302ew uses the 1-second data streams from cLib330 and thus puts out packets every second. This means you need to adjust your earthworm configuration as appropriate. The command description file can be found in the URL http://www.isti.com/q3302ew/q3302ew_cmd.html
As of Earthworm v6.3, Q3302EW is OFFICIALLY part of the Earthworm distribution,
available via FTP or HTTP. ISTI still supports it so direct any and all questions to us.
