ISTI installs Earthworm for AltaRock Energy on Newberry EGS

In 2014 ISTI worked closely with AltaRock Energy on monitoring the seismicity surrounding a stimulation test at the Enhanced Geothermal Field at the Newberry caldera in Oregon.  ISTI configured and helps to manage an Earthworm system for detection and auto location of earthquakes for AltaRock for this project. A nice news article on the Newberry development is available at Renewable Energy World website. ISTI will be working with AltaRock on monitoring seismicity at other geothermal energy development projects in the near future.

2013 Advanced EarthWorm Course

ISTI is running a 3-day Advanced Earthworm Course the Wed/Thur/Fri the week before AGU in San Francisco. (December 4-6) For this course we are covering advanced topics such as 3-component location tuning (pick_FP/binder_ew/hypoinverse) and new advanced features of EW7.7. The instructors, Paul Friberg and Stefan Lisowski have a combined experience using Earthworm of more than 22 years!

Students are bringing test data sets and their existing configurations so they will be tuned. Everyone will learn to be a better tuner, and will leave with a better configuration. In addition, attendees to this Advanced Earthworm Course will be provided with a complimentary 1-server unlimited-client license for our EZ Earthworm web monitoring and configuration interface.

Please note that we are limiting attendance to this course so sign up soon.
